Preparing for Installation

Proper preparation is key to successfully installing your new flooring.

Important Considerations

Location

Allure ISOCORE is for indoor use only. Do NOT install in any outside areas including, but not limited to, sunrooms, boats, RVs, trailers, rooms prone to flooding, or spaces that are not temperature controlled.

Storage

While preparing for installation, the boxes should be stored horizontally in a climate-controlled environment.

About Your Subfloor

General requirements of all subfloors:

  • The subfloor should not have any abrupt height differences. It should not slope more than 1” per 6 ft.
  • High spots should be leveled
  • Low areas should be filled
  • Subfloor should be free of debris, dirt, nails, or any other objects adhering to the floor
  • Must be free from moisture-related conditions
  • Be structurally sound

Not Approved Subfloors*
  • Carpeting/ Carpet Pad
  • Floating Floors
  • Parquet over Concrete
  • Engineered Hardwood over Concrete
  • Hardwood over Concrete
  • Cushioned Vinyl Flooring
  • Laminate
  • Cork
  • Sleeper Substrates
  • Rubber

* installing over these subfloors will void product warranty

Important Steps to Follow Before Installing

Permanent fixtures should be installed prior to flooring installation.

Pre-existing moldings and trim should be removed before installation begins.

Undercut any door jams so planks/tiles can slide underneath.

Mix planks/tiles from various boxes to ensure color variation is evenly distributed.
